Fatade had taken the Sokoto state government to the cleaners for purchasing a N700 million naira house for the Sultan of Sokoto in Nigeria's capital, Abuja. “The governor surely preferred the endorsement of Sultan for a second term to the votes of ordinary citizens, hence his decision to spend more on one person at the detriment of many,” Fatade wrote in the widely read article.  Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal has been subjected to severe criticisms since the story leaked to the media. Sokoto state government The group alleged that Mr Bako used the works of Mr Fatade on his Facebook page without proper attribution. “The action of Abubakar Bako is a shame to the teaching profession. In a statement released on Thursday July 27, the spokesperson to governor Aminu Tambuwal, Imam Imam, stated that that the funds were approved to purchase a befitting office and guest house for the Sultanate Council in Abuja. According to the governor’s aide, the amount was approved by the state House of Assembly, and all laid down procedures were followed in the process of the acquisitions.
