Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez in the next few days, reports Calciomercato .
Mahrez has been looking to leave Leicester this summer and had reportedly been holding out for an offer from Barcelona.
However, with no bid from Barcelona forthcoming, Mahrez is now expected to join Arsenal, having also been linked with a move to Chelsea.

ALEXIS FORBIDDEN FROM JOINING MAN CITY
Arsenal will not allow Alexis Sanchez to join Manchester City this summer, according to the Daily Mail .
The Gunners do not want to strengthen their rivals, and will instead encourage Alexis to move to a foreign club, with PSG favourites, or leave on a free next season.
However, Arsenal may be persuaded to do business with City if Sergio Aguero is included in the deal, or if they secure a £120 million deal to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.

Sunday's Confederations Cup final, however, is a contest between two teams that have been a joy to watch over the past decade: World champions Germany and Chile, the two-time Copa America winners. That excitement hasn't come from just watching their matches, but also from observing their incredible progress during recent years.
Ten years ago, Germany were midway through Euro 2008 qualifying and, while they sealed qualification early from a weak group, they finished behind Czech Republic following a shock 3-0 defeat in Munich and a goalless draw against then-hopeless Wales in Frankfurt. They were finalists the following summer, but with an aging, immobile backline, as well as a functional attack overly reliant upon Michael Ballack's midfield bursts.
Chile were in an even worse position. They scraped through their 2007 Copa America qualifying group but then, the day after some of their players had been caught at a nightclub, were thrashed 6-1 by Brazil in the quarterfinal. The loss wasn't a great surprise, given Chile had been thrashed 5-0 away at the same opposition in 2006 World Cup qualifying. That was, put simply, their natural level.
Both countries have since undergone a quite dramatic revolution, based around producing and developing better players and combined with a proper identity for the international side.

Manchester United "to step up their pursuit of" £15million left-back wanted by Arsenal

Manchester United are reportedly set to step up their pursuit of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, the Sun has claimed.
According to the article, the Red Devils will offer £15million to sign the left-back.
Arsenal have also monitored the progress of the youngster but their interest has cooled down.
In May, Tierney explained the reason why he turned down the possibility of joining the Gunners.
"The manager [Brendan Rodgers] came in last year and I had been told already there was a big bid there," he declared.
"It was a dream season for me last year individually and the manager said he wanted me to stay and sign a deal.
"As soon as I trained under him, there was no convincing needed. I was going to stay at Celtic anyway.
"The money factor is what a lot of people care about.
"All I was working towards was earning a new deal at Celtic. I wasn't looking to move somewhere else.
"The club could have brought in anybody as manager and I would have stayed but after speaking to Brendan I knew something special was happening.
"The way he spoke to me for 10 minutes after the first day at training was brilliant. That has continued all year."

Internazionale are no longer interested in Roma attacking midfielder Radja Nainggolan with Manchester United now strong favourites to sign him.
With Chelsea also cooling interest in the Belgium international, the Red Devils are expecting to meet with Roma to open talks.

Manchester United target Marquinhos has signed a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
The defender made it clear last week that he didn't want to leave the French giants.

The Lewisham-born striker, who lined up alongside Marcus Rashford in the academy attack the last term, gone to Bournemouth on a youth loan for more playing time in December and returned to make his only United Reserves start in the clash with Leicester in April.
The 17-year-old Makela, was hindered by growth-related injuries which limited him to just one academy start in consecutive terms before his final season with the club.
Congo-born ace Makela played his Under-23 debut at Leicester in April, however, had already begun on a youth loan with League one side Bury due to a lack of regular playing time.
