Barcelona initiate Fabregas-esque plan to lure Bellerin
Barcelona want to use a strategy that helped them land Cesc Fabregas back from Arsenal in 2011 in order to sign Hector Bellerin from the Gunners.
The Blaugrana put the initiative on the Chelsea star back in 2011 by pushing him to propose sacrifices in terms of wages to help facilitate a move, report Mundo Deportivo.
Fabregas dropped his salary by €4m over the course of his deal to help Barcelona push through the move.
Arsene Wenger wants €50m for the right-back, who could be asked to submit a transfer request if he wants to leave, something that Fabregas refused to do in 2011 in order to not enrage the Gunners faithful. A series of games are about to unfold in the weeks ahead!
