Chelsea ready to break world transfer record by signing 26-year-old star

It has been reported recently that Chelsea are ready to break the world record for a defender to sign Juventus full-back Alex Sandro this summer.
The 26-year-old South American is one of Antonio Conte’s top summer targets as the Chelsea head coach looks to strengthen the left side of his defence before the start of the new campaign.
And The Times suggests that the Premier League winners are willing to pay £61m for the signature of Juve left-back
Another EPL giants Manchester City set the current world record for a defender last week after spending £52m on signing AS Monaco star Benjamin Mendy.
Antonio Conte, meanwhile, insists he is in constant contact with Chelsea’s hierarchy over transfer targets.
During his interview, the Italian manager said: ‘With the club we speak every day about the way to strengthen this team and the squad. The club knows very well which is my idea and where are the positions to strengthen, and if this is possible, it is okay. If not, we continue this way.
‘It’s normal for every big team to try and reinforce its squad, to improve in the numerical aspect and to improve the quality. I think this is normal. For sure, in England next season, it will be a great challenge for all the teams.’
