Confirmed: Chelsea big-name star holding talks with Serie A giants

As per the latest transfer news, Diego Costa’s exit from Chelsea looks inevitable after Serie A giants AC Milan confirmed they have held talks with the striker’s agent.
The 28-year-old forward has appeared destined to leave the west London lcub since he revealed Antonio Conte informed him he wasn’t in the Chelsea manager’s plans for the new season.
The club most heavily linked with the Spain international has been his former club Atletico Madrid. But while Diego Costa has spoken of his interest in returning to the Vicente Calderon and even filmed himself wearing their shirt recently, the deal is complicated by a transfer ban which prohibits the La Liga side from signing players until January.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have emerged as favourites for his signature and those rumours have now been confirmed by the San Siro club. AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone admitted that club have held talks with Diego Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Fassone told Sky Sports: ‘I would prefer to avoid talking about players from other teams. Diego Costa is a great player, but a Chelsea player. We went to see [Costa’s agent] Jorge Mendes; there is a lot you can talk to him about. Costa is a great player but he is of Chelsea. That’s all.’
