Obasanjo planning to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu, overthrow Buhari - IPOB.

- IPOB alleges that ex- president, Olusegun Obasanjo, is plotting to overthrow the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari - The group says Obasanjo’s call for Nnamdi Kanu to be stopped is an invitation for the army to plot a coup in Nigeria - IPOB says if anything happens to Nnamdi Kanu or a military coup takes place in the country, Obasanjo should be held responsible The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, of plotting to assassinate its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, through military coup.  The pro-Biafra group in a statement on Thursday, July 6, alleged that the former president also plans to overthrow the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari through the purported coup. The spokesperson for the group, Emma Powerful, made the allegation in reaction to a statement credited to Obasanjo that Kanu should be made to put a stop to his agitation for Biafra, Daily Post reports. The group said Obasanjo’s statement was an invitation for the army to plot a coup in Nigeria and assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other members of IPOB who were using peaceful means to agitate for Biafra. IPOB stated that it has pushed for the restoration of Biafra in a peaceful manner without killing any one. It said rather, the federal government has been the one killing its members without provocation. The group described the call by Olusegun Obasanjo to stop Kanu and IPOB members as a prelude to Obasanjo’s plan to over throw the Buhari government and assassinate Nnamdi Kanu and others who are calling for the restoration of Biafra.  IPOB said if anything happens to Nnamdi Kanu or a military coup takes place in the country, Olusegun Obasanjo should be held responsible. Meanwhile, IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu has said Olusegun Obasanjo is going to die for saying he and the agitation for Biafra must be stopped. He said that the former president was going to die for speaking those words so that they will know how powerful the people of Biafra are. The IPOB leader stated this in reaction to Obasanjo's comment that Nigerians must do everything possible to stop the agitation for Biafra led by he (Kanu). In a video obtained by NAIJ.com, Kanu said he and the people are indestructible and no man can stop Biafra from coming. He also said Obasanjo should have asked questions from President Muhammadu Buhari before saying nonsense about them, adding that it is only in a zoo that old men won't retire without any grace.
