Hakan Calhanoglu has been a target for
Premier League clubs this summer, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham looking to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star but it seems as if the Turk is poised for a move elsewhere.
Turkish Futbol are reporting that Calhanoglu is expected to undergo a medical with AC Milan next Monday after agreeing personal terms with the Serie A side.
They cite Sky Italia who believe that Milan and Leverkusen are close to settling a fee for Calhanoglu’s transfer.
Leverkusen are looking for a fee in the region of €25m, while Milan are currently offering €21m plus bonuses, with the clubs only about €2m apart in their valuations at the moment, a deal is expected to be struck soon.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder scored seven goals and provided seven assists last season for Leverkusen and becomes Milan’s latest summer signing, following the likes of Franck Kessie, Andre Silva and Ricardo Rodriguez to the San Siro.
